With these economic times we are all looking to save in every way we can. With a growing necessity for mobile computing, laptops are on the rise. Netbooks are small and efficient as far as your basic computing needs, not to mention about half the price of many of the mainstream laptops found these days. The first on our list is the Toshiba NB205-310, with an Intel Atom N280/1660MHz CPU it can more than just get the job done. It has a 10.1 inch display and a great resolution, providing a nice clear picture with little glare. This is also packed with a 160 GB hard drive that is about average for a portable PC. But all of this is not what has it on top, it is the fact that it is a great price with fantastic features and a wonderful battery life that tests have shown too last nearly ten hours.

The Samsung GO is equipped with an Intel AtomN270/1600MHz CPU. With the average display screen of 10.1 inches and hard drive space of 160GB, this netbook is excellent for kids, however, it is rather bulky and difficult to transport. However, the Samsung N120 comes forward with similar specifications, like an Intel AtomN270 CPU with 1600MHz output and a 160 GB hard drive, but offers and alternative to the Samsung N110. This netbook offers lager keys and much better performance, however, it lacks in battery power. The ASUS Eee PC 1005HA offers an Intel AtomN280, 1660MHz CPU, as well as a 10.1 inch display monitor and a 160GB hard drive. This particular model is slim and compact, and also supplies you with what you need for a low price.

The Lenovo IdeaPad S12 netbook uses a 1600MHz Intel Atom N270 CPU and gives an impressive 12.1 inch display screen, as well as a 160GB hard drive.
