Toshiba Satellite 2435-S255 w/Win XP Home notebook computers,notebook computers Cons: Have had to buy two new motherboards. First one died 3 weeks after warranty expired.
Toshiba official London agent cheated me, charging over 400 pounds for repair/labour. Customer service from non-existent. Have had to buy two new hard drives.

Pros:
Holds up well. I have had almost no problems with it in 5 years. Sturdier keyboard than dell, as well as power plugin arrangement in back
Cons:
Does overheat, but once problem is recognized, the fix is easy.
Summary: This has been a very reliable computer for me, far outperforming other laptops I have had. I believe most of the very negative posts as a result of the overheating problem is throwing the baby out with the bathwater.
Pros:
Has outlived all other PCs and notebooks i have owned over the past 10 years.

Summary: Just as i said above it Has outlived all other PCs and notebooks i have owned over the past 10 years.
I Started with Dell C800 @ $4,200 (when stolen was exuse for new, Didnt even bother filing police report was such a POS)
